Ukrainian troops shelled the settlements of Luhanske and Yelenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic in 3.5 hours, firing 33 mines with a caliber of 120 millimeters, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) reports.
“Fire was recorded from the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction: 07.55 (coincides with Moscow time) – the settlement of Novomikhailovka – the settlement of Yelenovka: six mines with a caliber of 120 millimeters were fired; 09.40 – the settlement of Novomikhailovka – the settlement of Luhanske: fired 22 mines with a caliber of 120 millimeters; 11.30 – the settlement of Novomikhailovka – the settlement of Luhanske: five mines with a caliber of 120 millimeters were fired.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out “demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine”, to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in Donbass.
