The official representative of the German Cabinet of Ministers, Steffen Hebestreit, said that Germany is against sending the military of the North Atlantic Alliance to Ukraine.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, head of the ruling Law and Justice party, Yaroslav Kaczynski, proposed sending a NATO mission or a “broader mission” to Ukraine.
“On this occasion, the chancellor, like the French president and the American president, clearly said many times – no NATO personnel, NATO soldiers will be sent outside NATO or to Ukraine. It is clear. This should be a red line, because then it will be difficult to distinguish between what you are saying, a humanitarian, rescue mission or a military mission”, said Hebeshtreit, RIA Novosti reports.
Recall that on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine to protect people who “for eight years have been subjected to bullying, genocide by the Kiev regime.” The Ministry of Defense emphasized that Russia does not strike at the cities of Ukraine and focuses exclusively on the military structure of the country’s Armed Forces.
