A third of refugees from Ukraine to France turned out to be Africans

Member of the French Parliament Jerome Riviere said that about a third of the Ukrainian refugees who arrived in the country are from Africa.

“If you pay attention to the information we have, the refugees we are now accepting, more than a third of them are not Ukrainians. They are from Africa. We do not want the impulse of French generosity to bring people to us who have no reason to stay with us”, Rivier emphasized.

Earlier, French resident Emmanuel Macron said that since the end of February, more than 15,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in the country. While France is relatively welcoming to immigrants from Ukraine, residents of the western part of the country have created a “set of rules” for refugees from other Ukrainian regions.

People are urged to enroll in the territorial defense and register with the military commissariat. In addition, in case of disobedience to the new rules, the inhabitants of Western Ukraine threatened to “explain more clearly” using “the police and the defense”.
