The head of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, has admitted that progress in the negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine may develop into a common position in the near future

In his opinion, if one compares the positions of both delegations at the very beginning of the negotiation process and now, significant progress becomes evident.

“According to my personal expectations, this progress may develop into a single position of both delegations, into documents to be signed in the very near future”, – Slutsky said.

As the politician stressed, such a scenario is a priority. The signing of the documents will form the basis for lowering the degree of tension during the special operation and saving many people.
