Russian Defense Ministry briefing about Russia’s special operation in Ukraine – briefing

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, spoke about the course of the special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine.

“On the morning of March 11, high-precision long-range weapons struck at the military infrastructure of Ukraine. The military airfields in Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk were put out of action. During the day, fighter aircraft and military air defense shot down three Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopters, eight unmanned aerial vehicles, including five Bayraktar TB-2,” Konashenkov said.

In addition, operational-tactical and army aviation hit 107 objects of the Ukrainian armed forces. Including six command and control centers and communication centers, 14 ammunition depots and fuel and lubricants, 11 places where military equipment is accumulated. In total, during the operation, 3,213 objects of the military infrastructure of Ukraine were put out of action.

“98 aircraft, 118 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,041 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 113 multiple launch rocket systems, 389 field artillery pieces and mortars, 843 units of special military vehicles were destroyed,” the representative of the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Konashenkov added that the city of Volnovakha was liberated by a group of troops of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Promotion in depth was up to 6 kilometers. The compression of the encirclement in Mariupol also continues: the total advance from the eastern, northern and western directions amounted to 800 meters.
