Russia requests UN Security Council meeting in connection with the work of US biological laboratories in Ukraine

Moscow requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on the work of the US military biological programs in Ukraine, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the world organization, said.

“The Russian mission has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on March 11 to discuss the military biological activities of the United States on the territory of Ukraine,” Polyansky wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, said that during a special military operation in Ukraine, the activities of a network of more than 30 biological laboratories that were commissioned by the Pentagon Threat Reduction Agency were uncovered.

Washington claims that statements about the work of the military biological programs of the United States are allegedly “propaganda and misinformation.” At the same time, US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, during her speech at a hearing in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate of the US Congress, said that there are “biological research facilities” on the territory of Ukraine and Washington is trying to prevent them from falling under the control of Russian forces.
