Russian President Vladimir Putin said that conscripts and reservists would not take part in a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine.
“I would like to emphasize that soldiers on active duty do not and will not participate in the hostilities, and there will be no additional call-up of reservists from the reserve. The assigned tasks are solved only by professional military men,” the Russian leader said in his video message to women on the occasion of March 8.
Putin also addressed the mothers, wives, sisters, brides and girlfriends of Russian soldiers and officers “who are now defending Russia in battle during a special military operation.” According to the president, relatives can be proud of their defenders in the same way that “the whole country is proud of them together with you and worries about them.”
Recall that on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to launch a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine to protect people who “for eight years have been subjected to bullying, genocide by the Kiev regime.” The Russian leader stressed that Moscow has no bad intentions towards neighboring countries and all actions of the Russian Federation arise solely in response to unfriendly measures against it.
