Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke about the basic principles of Russian-Chinese relations.
The minister stressed that relations between Russia and China are “independent and based on non-alignment with blocs, as well as the absence of confrontation.” Wang Yi added that cooperation between the countries does not tolerate third-party interference and provocations.
“No matter how threatening the international situation is, China and Russia will maintain their strategic resolve and continue to advance the relationship of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation in the new era,” the minister said at the annual press conference, RIA Novosti reported.
According to him, the development of Sino-Russian relations has a strong internal driving force, the friendship between the two peoples is solid as a rock, and the prospects for cooperation between the two countries are extremely wide.
