Vucic condemned the proposal to ban Sputnik and RT in Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic condemned the ideas of his opponents to ban Russian radio station Sputnik and TV channel RT from broadcasting in the country

Serbia’s Security Council had earlier ruled that the decision to conduct a Russian military operation in Ukraine “was wrong”, but refused to join Western sanctions against Russia.

“Some people want to put all of us who think differently in camps, they would ban all media who speak differently. All these people can see that. Many, when they talk about media freedom, think that freedom can only be so that only they have a presence in the media and no one else. They have an opportunity to win the parliamentary elections on April 3rd with their “unanimity”. Or will a democratic and decent Serbia win, we’ll see”, –  Vucic said.
