The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the conflict in Ukraine is a direct consequence of the reckless policy of the West, aimed to push their interests to the detriment of others’ security
“The current situation, unfortunate as it may be, has become a direct consequence of the West’s reckless policy aimed at pushing its interests at the expense of the security of others”, – Lukashenko said at a meeting of the republic’s Security Council on Tuesday. His words are quoted by the press service.
He also noted that “even before the outbreak of hostilities, we offered our Ukrainian colleagues to establish direct contact with the Russian side.”
“We were ready to provide the necessary assistance in this. However, our proposal was ignored”, – Lukashenko said.
