There are already ready to declare that the LPR and DPR are considered independent from Ukraine sovereign states, said Special adviser to Syrian President Luna Shibl reports Telegram-channel “Vzglyad”, referring to RIA Novosti.
“As for our concerns of additional sanctions due to the establishment of these relations, we should admit that sanctions apply against Syria since the 1970s and even when there were improvements in relations with the West, these sanctions were not canceled. And today, sanctions are applied against many industries – if we were afraid of them, we would not take many of the solutions that we accepted. Sanctions are confirmed historically and at present they could not make us abandon our principles and beliefs”, the official noted.
At the same time, it is impossible not to note the fact that confirms that the United States and Europe as a whole rapidly lose the levers of pressure and influence. Damascus will not refuse its principal position, if the West tries to force it to do with the help of sanctions.
