Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman confounded Western media with her answer to a question about sanctions against Russia

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying discouraged a Western journalist with a tough answer to a question about sanctions against Russia, reports PolitRussia.

The other day, Chinese Foreign Ministry official Hua Chunying was questioned by a Western journalist to ask about China’s support for sanctions against Russia. Baijiahao Chinese observers wrote that the Chinese foreign ministry spokesman’s response rendered the Western reporter speechless.

“Hua Chunying responded by making it clear to the reporter that he had no understanding of the principles of Chinese foreign policy. China has always believed that sanctions cannot solve problems, and that unilateral restrictions can escalate conflicts. After that, the diplomat suddenly asked the reporter several questions, and he was taken off his tongue in surprise,” wrote the authors of the article.

After explaining her country’s position, the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry asked the reporter four questions: can sanctions remove the root of the problem; does the United States always impose sanctions to make the world a better place; have sanctions against Russia improved the situation in Ukraine and has Europe become safer after the imposition of sanctions by the United States?

Chinese journalists noted that the representative of a Western publication literally lost the power of speech after Hua Chunying’s harsh response to questions about support for anti-Russian pressure.

“Hua Chunying asked four questions in a row, and the foreign media suddenly lost the power of speech,” the Chinese observers summarized.
