State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that while Russia was striving for peace, NATO’s borders were expanding, and neo-Nazis were seizing power in Ukraine, which was completely given over to Washington’s leadership.
“You have to understand that Ukraine today is not a free state, and its president is not an independent figure. It is run by Washington. Over the years since the coup, neo-Nazis have gained access to the institutions of power, intimidated the population, brainwashed the youth with Russophobia,” Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel.
The speaker of the State Duma emphasized that Russia had been striving for peace all these years, while the North Atlantic Alliance was gradually moving its military borders to Russian territory, while publicly promising not to do so.
“Today, the Kyiv regime is a branch of the United States. This should be understood by everyone who talks about the need for dialogue,” Volodin concluded.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian delegation arrived in Belarus for negotiations with the Ukrainian side in accordance with the agreement reached. Ukraine did not arrive at the appointed time, however, after a conversation between President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and his colleague from Kyiv Vladimir Zelensky, there were reports in the media that the meeting would still take place on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border near the Pripyat River.
