Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, ordered the containment forces to be transferred to a special mode of combat duty, Izvestia writes.
“The top officials of the leading NATO countries also allow aggressive statements against our country, therefore I order the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff to transfer the deterrence forces of the Russian army to a special mode of combat duty,” Putin said.
Recall that on February 24, Russian President Putin announced that Moscow had decided to launch a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine to protect people who “have been subjected to harassment and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.”
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that Russia does not strike at the cities of Ukraine and focuses exclusively on the military structure of the country’s Armed Forces. According to the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, Ukraine must be completely cleansed of Nazi ideology.
News Front daily conducts an operational report on the successes of the special military operation of the RF Armed Forces.
