Biden orders deployment of additional US forces in Europe

The US President Joe Biden confirmed that he had ordered the deployment of additional US forces in Europe to support Washington’s NATO allies, the head of state said in a statement released Friday.

“As I stated yesterday, the United States will defend every inch of NATO territory. Our commitment to Article 5 of the alliance’s charter is unshakable. I have ordered the deployment of additional forces to increase our capabilities in Europe in order to support our NATO allies,” the White House owner said in a statement. 

Biden accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of “threatening the very foundations of international peace and security,” while NATO, in turn, once again demonstrates that it “stands for freedom and democracy.”

“President Putin has failed in achieving his goal of dividing the West. NATO is more resolute and united than ever, and the alliance will keep its doors open to those European states that share our values ​​and may one day decide to join it,” the US president said.
