Lavrov has said that the West has consistently shielded the Kiev regime’s crimes

According to the Russian foreign minister, the country could not be indifferent to the requests of the DPR and LPR to come to its aid against the aggressor

The West has been tacitly encouraging the rise of neo-Nazism and Russophobia in Ukraine and has been consistently shielding the crimes of the Kiev regime in Donbas, which eventually plunged the country into tragedy. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this on Friday as he opened talks with Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Foreign Minister Vladislav Deinego and Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Peresada.

“Throughout this entire period, the population of your republics has been subjected to bullying and annual shelling by the Kiev regime, which has openly followed the path of Russophobia and genocide”, –  the Russian foreign minister said. – Over all these years, our Western colleagues have consistently defended the Ukrainian regime, turning a blind eye to war crimes against civilians, turning a blind eye to the murder of women, children and the elderly, to the destruction of civil infrastructure, and tacitly encouraging the rapid emergence of neo-Nazism and Russophobia, which eventually plunged the country into tragedy. And, of course, the West fully sided with the Kiev regime in its efforts to sabotage and ultimately destroy the Minsk agreements.

According to him, Russia could not be indifferent to the requests of the DPR and LPR to come to its aid against the aggressor. Lavrov said that the West continued to ignore the facts of genocide in Donbas.

He also said that Russia was preparing a special photo exhibition dedicated to the suffering of Donbas for the UN human rights session.
