The international warning system for air personnel NOTAM reported that flights of civil aircraft within the borders of Ukrainian airspace are limited due to possible threats to civil aviation.
“Flights of civil aircraft within the boundaries of the Kiev, Dnipro, Lvov, Odessa, Simferopol flight information regions and the Kiev region of upper airspace flight information are limited due to a potential threat to civil aviation,” NOTAM said, RIA Novosti reports.
On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. On the morning of February 24, the Russian leader announced the start of a special military operation in Donbass. Putin stressed that its main goal would be to protect people who “for eight years have been subjected to bullying, genocide by the Kiev regime.”
