The American analyst Dreher accused the United States of forcing Russia to conduct a special operation in the Donbass

The US and NATO personally launched a chain of responses to their aggression around the globe, in particular, in Iraq and Yugoslavia, American analyst Rod Dreher shared this opinion in an article for The American Conservative.

“I’m not at all interested in listening to self-justifying Western leaders and talking heads who behave as if Western politics has nothing to do with today’s events,” PolitRussia quoted the publicist as saying.

The American expert emphasizes that the American establishment ignored Moscow’s demands for non-expansion of NATO to the east, which confirms the bloc’s lack of peacekeeping motives, and also excludes any desire of the West to conduct a constructive dialogue. The precedent for Russia’s special operation in the Donbass was created at the time of Kosovo’s separation from Yugoslavia.

“NATO bombings in 1999 turned Russia away from the West,” the article says. “It was at this point that the United States tore apart international law.”

Rod Dreher calls on the United States to reconsider its policy of double standards and aggressive interference in the affairs of sovereign countries, drawing attention to the consequences of such actions.

“When the dust settles, I want to see serious reflections on the actions of several US administrations pushing the external borders of NATO further to the East after the Cold War,” the expert concluded.

The actions of US politicians towards the Ukrainian issue led to the emergence of a group armed to the teeth of a military contingent of militants of the national battalions of Ukraine. Such a destabilization of a state neighboring Russia could not go unanswered by the Moscow authorities.

“Those who believe that the United States can send weapons to Ukraine without consequences from Russia are simply stupid,” the expert concluded.
