The official representative of the People’s Militia of the DPR, Colonel Eduard Basurin, said that over the past day, Ukrainian militants opened fire 65 times on the territory of the republic.
“Over the past day, the enemy opened fire 65 times on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Of these, 46 times with the use of multiple launch rocket systems, 122-mm artillery, 120 and 82-mm mortars and tanks, firing 512 shells and mines. Various types of grenade launchers and small arms were also used. In total, more than 826 shells, mines and grenades were fired across the territory of the DPR. The areas of 29 settlements of the republic fell under shelling”, Basurin said during a briefing.
According to the People’s Police of the DPR, as a result of the Ukrainian aggression, three civilians were killed, and four servicemen of the People’s Militia were injured. It is also noted that for the first time since May 2018, when shelling the DPR, Kiev used rocket artillery. Ukrainian militants from the positions of the 56th motorized infantry brigade opened fire from a multiple launch rocket system BM-21 “Grad” in the Kievsky district of Donetsk, firing five rockets.
In the Gorlovsky direction, militants of the 95th airborne assault brigade fired at the settlement. The militants of the 56th motorized infantry brigade opened fire on the Kievsky district of Donetsk from a BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system and 122-mm cannon artillery. The militants of the 54th mechanized brigade opened fire on the areas of the settlement. In the Mariupol direction, militants of the 53rd brigade fired at the areas of the settlements Styla, Petrovskoye, Dokuchaevsk, Novolaspa, Novaya Maryevka, Grigorovka, Tavrichesky and Belaya Kamenka, using 120-mm mortars, tanks, and various types of grenade launchers. The militants of the 36th Marine Brigade fired at the areas of the settlement using 122-mm artillery, 120-mm mortars and various types of grenade launchers.
