Military correspondent Semyon Pegov gave details of the tragedy on the Donetsk-Gorlovka highway
“The van belonged to the military, the initial target was them. However, a civilian car turned out to be on the highway. The saboteurs set off an explosion, the main impact of which fell precisely on the passenger car, after which it caught fire”, – he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The incident happened on February 22 at around 05:00 am. According to preliminary information, two roadside bombs were planted on the track and both went off.
The homemade bombs were filled with high-explosive elements. The explosion killed three civilians, according to Semyon Pegov.
