“Literally, the front is on fire, shelling is every minute – and this is only near Donetsk, but there are also southern borders, Gorlovka and so on, which are being under shot”.
Military commissar Semyon Pegov told RT News Agency what is happening on the line of contact in the Donbass after the announcement of recognition of the DPR and LPR:
“This night in Donetsk today is as happy as it is extremely intense. There is also a curfew, and many have been evacuated, there is no crowd of people here, but whoever could – these are mainly security forces and civil servants – came here [in the center of Donetsk] to express their delight and joy at what is happening”.
But at the same time, fighting is going on along the entire front line, very alarming information is coming in that there are already dead among the reservists. Of course, I would like to hope – and Donbass is now sure of this – that Russia, together with the people of Donbass, will fight to the end.
