Tonight the Ukrainian militants of the 55th Artillery Brigade opened fire from the positions of the 36th Separate Brigade of the AFU Marines using 122 mm barrel artillery and 120 mm mortars in the area of Kominternove settlement. In total, the enemy fired about 12 rounds of 122mm shells and 50 120mm mortars.
In order to protect civilians, our defenders were forced to return fire with weapons not prohibited under the Minsk agreements, suppressing the enemy’s firing points.
Unfortunately, the Ukrainian aggression resulted in the death of one member of the DPR People’s Militia, one more was seriously wounded and two were shell-shocked. We offer our condolences to the families and friends of our defenders.
In addition, according to operational information, as a result of 120-mm mortar fire from the positions of the 54th Mechanized Brigade at the Trudovskaya mine, a civilian, a miner who was going to the mine for the morning shift, was killed at a public transport stop. A total of 2 mines of 120 mm calibre were fired by the enemy.
