Ukrainian agent detained by Donetsk people’s republic reveals Kiev’s plans

Ukrainian agent Anton Matsanyuk, who was detained by the DPR, has told about the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to seize Donbass, RIA Novosti reports

The man previously worked in the customs department of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Operatives of the DPR State Security Ministry detained Matsanyuk on 17 February in a rented flat in Donetsk.

It is reported that the handlers of the Ukrainian saboteur advised Matsanyuk to go to Shakhtersk or Torez, which are closer to the border. Recall that the man is suspected of involvement in the bombing of the car of the head of the DNR People’s Militia Denis Sinenkov.

“Donetsk will be subjected to massive artillery shelling and it is not advisable to be there in multi-storey apartment buildings, because you can be killed”, –  the Ukrainian agent said.

According to him, when “Ch time comes, they will be instructed with the placement of caches that contain IEDs, so that in the future these IEDs will be placed in the DPR’s critical facilities – bridges, railway crossings, as well as in places where people congregate”.

This week, the situation in Donbass has escalated significantly. Ukrainian security forces have been shelling the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics with particular cruelty. Amid the escalation of the situation, the LNR and DNR authorities decided to evacuate the population to Russian territory.
