US President Joe Biden will convene a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) of the White House on February 20 against the backdrop of the situation around Ukraine, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.
“Tomorrow the president will convene a meeting of the National Security Council on the situation in Ukraine. Biden continues to monitor the changing situation in Ukraine, and his national security team reports to him regularly on developments,” Psaki said.
According to her, Biden’s national security aides are of the opinion that Russia allegedly “may launch an attack on Ukraine at any moment.” Psaki also noted that on Saturday, Biden was also reported on the results of the meetings that Vice President Kamala Harris held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
In the past few months, Western politicians and the media have been accusing Russia of preparing an “invasion” of Ukrainian territory. At the same time, the United States, Britain and other countries continue to actively sponsor Kiev with various types of weapons.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly rejected such accusations, since they have absolutely no evidence and are based on publications in foreign media. According to him, Moscow moves troops exclusively on its territory and does not threaten anyone.
