The Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the territory of the self-proclaimed DPR in five directions, using 20 grenades and 70 mines, the republic’s representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) said. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Shelling was carried out from 10:44 to 11:20 in the direction of Donetsk, the village of Verkhnetoretsky, Dokuchaevsk, Gorlovka and the village of Novaya Maryevka.
In February, the situation in the Donbass escalated again, including against the backdrop of statements by Western media and officials about Russia’s alleged plans to invade Ukraine.
On February 18, the heads of the DPR and LPR announced the temporary evacuation of the population to the territory of Russia, in the evening of the same day the first buses took women, children and the elderly out of the republics.
