President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had arrived at the Munich Security Conference, where he would discuss “threats at the borders” of the country together with international partners.
Earlier, Zelensky’s office said that the head of state would return to Kiev after the conference on Saturday.
“I arrived in Germany. Today is the Munich Security Conference and negotiations with our partners and friends. The main issues are threats at the borders of Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on his Instagram account.
Earlier, the leadership of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR announced the temporary evacuation of citizens to the Rostov region in connection with the threat of Ukraine’s invasion. First of all, the evacuation concerns women, children and the elderly. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will soon order the military to launch an offensive in the Donbass, to implement a plan to invade the territory of the DPR and LPR, said the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
The plans attributed to Russia to escalate the situation around Ukraine are categorically denied in Moscow and constantly declare that they are not threatening anyone, and all such statements are used as an excuse to place more NATO military equipment near Russian borders. As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier, Russia does not create any pretexts for a conflict situation around Ukraine. According to him, Russia does not rule out that the hysteria around Ukraine, hyped by the West, is aimed at covering Kiev’s line of sabotaging the Minsk agreements on Donbass. According to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, the US and NATO information hysteria over Ukraine is generously framed by lies.
