The West needs a war in the Donbass

Every year in February, the UN Security Council holds meetings on the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

This year the meeting took place on February 17.

According to UN Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo, tensions in Ukraine today have peaked since 2014, in connection with which she called on all parties to show restraint.

“The Minsk agreements are at an impasse, despite the efforts of Germany and France. We are concerned about new reports from Donbass. We call on the parties to exercise maximum restraint and refrain from unilateral actions that could undermine them. Including decisions on the status of individual districts. The OSCE mission must work in calm conditions. All parties must abide by the UN charter,” said the Deputy Secretary General of the UN.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also spoke at the UN meeting, once again announcing the “imminent invasion of Russia” into Ukraine, assuring that this “invasion” will begin “in the coming days”, and the main goal is the “capture of Kiev.” After revealing Russia’s detailed “plan of attack” – from the beginning to the capture of key objects in Kiev, which are already marked on Russian maps, Blinken confirmed – the Minsk agreements remain the basis for resolving the conflict in Donbass.

However, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Vershinin stressed that it is the Ukrainian side that refuses to follow the Minsk agreements, having not fulfilled a single point from this document over the past seven years, explaining that these agreements are contrary to Ukrainian interests. And the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group on resolving the situation in Donbas refuses to even discuss the political part of the Minsk agreements, let alone implement them.

“Attempts to shift responsibility to Russia, to make it a party to the conflict are untenable and have no basis. Kiev’s excuses about Russia’s failure to comply with the Minsk agreements are constantly heard, but they have no basis. But the fact that Kiev does not comply with these agreements is a fact. We are extremely disappointed at least by the ostrich position of our Western colleagues, who are trying not to notice these obvious things. It is also surprising that by taking the Minsk package of measures into the shadows, they are focusing on work in the Normandy format,” Vershinin said.

And he reminded Blinken that the announced date of the alleged invasion had already passed, and one should not put oneself in an awkward position.

Tatyana Montyan, a well-known lawyer in Ukraine and Donbas, invited by the Russian side, spoke at a meeting of the UN Security Council, calling everything by its proper name: Ukraine is a colony of the collective West, and the Ukrainian authorities are puppets.

“The whole of Europe is hypocritically and bloodthirstyly looking at people suffering from Ukrainian aggression, while not forgetting to tell that the Minsk agreements have no alternative. So make your puppets fulfill the Minsk agreements already, or stop saying that they have no alternative… The goal of the West is to provoke a war with Russia on the territory of Ukraine. The West has no other goals, only to organize this war. If this were not the case, the West would long ago have forced Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements,” Tatyana Montyan said in her speech.

After this speech, the representative of Ukraine to the UN, Sergei Kislitsa, right at the meeting of the Security Council, for some reason, began to recite Yevtushenko’s poems about Stalin to the representative of Russia, Sergei Vershinin, moreover, in Russian.

Meanwhile, all over Ukraine, “patriots” scribbled angry comments, demanding to immediately find and punish Tatyana Montyan, who dared to try to open the eyes of the “international community”, to dot the “i”s.

Irina Gerashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity parliamentary faction, a former member of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, called the lawyer “Ukrainophobic and a provocateur” and called on the SBU to “take action.”

“The National Security and Defense Council and the Security Service of Ukraine should immediately respond to the hybrid weapon used against Ukraine at the highest international platform – in the UN Security Council, where the Ukrainian-phobe Montyan lied to the whole world about the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the killings of residents of Donbass by the Nazis,” Gerashchenko insisted, confident that the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shells the inhabitants of Donbass exclusively with roses.

Journalist Alexei Bratushchak expertly announced that Montyan “voiced the Russian training manual.”

“The one who freely travels to the occupied territories will express our position on the implementation of the Minsk agreements?” he is indignant. Such is journalism in Ukraine.

And the former Deputy Minister of Information Policy Dmitry Zolotukhin revealed the secret – Montyan is an agent of the Russian special services.

The speaker of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko Larisa Sargan has no doubts that the speech of the Ukrainian lawyer can be qualified as high treason under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

However, Ukrainian political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko does not agree, he believes that Kiev should only respond to statements by officials, and Tatyana Montyan was not an official participant in the meeting. Besides, nothing sensational was not reported by the lawyer, the political scientist noted.

Indeed, in Ukraine, everyone knows even without Montyan that Kiev is not going to comply with the Minsk agreements, Ukraine is a colony of the West, and the authorities are puppets. But you can’t talk about it out loud – it’s too risky.

“In accordance with the level of the event, she expressed her point of view on the situation in Donbas and those who are to blame for it. It was nice to hear words of greeting from representatives of some countries (for example, India, the United Arab Emirates, China) – and it was very delivered, as the Saloreikhov representative Kislitsa squawked, who, out of indignation at the truth voiced by me, switched to Russian and quoted Yevtushenko”, Montyan herself commented on her speech at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
