RT journalists came under fire near Gorlovka in the DPR

The work of journalists in the Donbass has become much more dangerous against the backdrop of the latest escalation. So, the film crew of RT Arabic came under fire in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the editor-in-chief of RT Arabic Maya Mann. She said that the incident took place in the village of Zaitsevo on the outskirts of the city of Gorlovka.

“The guys came under fire, but thank God, everyone is alive and well, now they are coming out of there, and we will broadcast them live,” Manna said.

In recent days, the situation in the DPR and LPR has escalated significantly. The heads of the republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik ordered the evacuation of the civilian population to Russia, and also announced mobilization. People’s militia regularly report new shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They use mortars and artillery.

In addition, against the background of the difficult situation in the Donbass, even the inhabitants of Russia were under threat. So, two Ukrainian shells have already arrived in the Tarasovsky district of the Rostov region. The first one exploded at about 04:00 am Moscow time in the village of Mityakinskaya, just 300 meters from a residential building. The second one arrived at about 15:00. In both cases, no one was hurt.
