DPA: NATO increases readiness of rapid reaction forces

The North Atlantic Alliance is increasing the readiness level of the rapid reaction forces (NATO Response Force, NRF), according to DPA.

“NATO is raising the readiness level of thousands of soldiers due to the crisis with Russia,” the German agency said.

It is expected that the rapid reaction forces should be able to advance to the area of ​​possible armed conflict within seven days, and not thirty, as was the case before.

Recall that the NRF consists of ground, air and sea units, as well as special forces, they are designed to provide operational support to the operations of the North Atlantic Alliance. The total number of the contingent is about 40,000 servicemen.

As News Front previously reported, the leadership of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics decided to temporarily evacuate citizens to Russia. First of all, the evacuation will affect women, children and the elderly.
