Poland could accept up to a million refugees from Ukraine in the event of a “Russian invasion”, Poland’s Deputy National Defence Minister Wojciech Skurkiewicz has said
“Preparations are underway for a wave of refugees from Ukraine. Preparations are being made on four levels, depending on how the situation develops. If there is a crisis, the wave could even number around a million people”, – Skurkiewicz foresaw.
He also added that Polish authorities have been preparing to receive refugees from Ukraine for weeks.
“First of all, the reception points – designated places, prepared people, infrastructure around border crossings, reception and later distribution of these people inland”, – Skurkiewicz said
