Alexander Lukashenko has said that his country will make a joint and mutually beneficial decision with Russia on the issue of recognition of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics
“We will agree with Vladimir Putin how we will do what is best for both Russia and Belarus, but it will be a joint decision,” Lukashenko said.
Earlier, the Russian State Duma voted for an appeal to the Russian president on the need to recognize the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. For their part, the heads of the DPR and LPR, Denys Pushylin and Leonid Pasechnik, said that they welcomed the decision of the State Duma deputies.
Vladimir Putin during the press conference with the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz commented on this appeal, saying that he would do everything possible to solve the problems of Donbas, but the potential of the Minsk agreements has not been exhausted.
