Russian Foreign Ministry says British Foreign Secretary Truss must apologize for accusations against Russia

The British authorities should bring their changes to Russia for accusing it of aggression against Ukraine. There was no evidence of this, but London regularly made dubious claims.

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, called on British Foreign Minister Liz Truss to apologize for her behavior. It is reported by TASS.

“The head of the British Foreign Office is obliged to apologize for the spread of lies, and she is obliged to apologize to the people of Russia, the people of Ukraine and the people of Britain, and also to those media that considered her statements to be true,” Zakharova said during a briefing.

Truss became a real ambassador of the information campaign that was launched against Russia. It was she who, more actively than other politicians, promoted the horror story about the “invasion” of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. At the same time, she even managed to go to Moscow and further aggravate her relations with London.

Zakharova noted that perhaps the UK, not Russia, should prove the intention not to attack anyone. It is her position and the position of NATO that raises questions. There are much more grounds for such fears than in the case of the Russian Federation.
