Kiev and Washington can prepare a large-scale provocation by no means in the war zone in the Donbass, military expert Alexei Leonkov spoke on the Soloviev LIVE YouTube channel.
“In Ukraine, there is a strange performance with the expectation of an invasion, but at the same time, you need to understand that at any moment Ukrainians or Americans can arrange a large-scale provocation,” the expert said.
The escalation of the situation along the demarcation line by the hands of the American and Ukrainian media and politicians may hide the real goals of Washington. We are talking about the threat of a large-scale provocation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which was put into operation a few days ago in violation of many rules.
“Vital objects may be under attack. Now I am referring to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which now for the first time in its history has all six power units operating simultaneously. In the meantime, back in January, there was some kind of emergency stop associated with malfunctions in the turbine. Where it leads? It should be understood that ZNPP provides 50% of nuclear generation on the territory of Ukraine. It is also the only nuclear power plant for which all technical documentation has been carefully studied by American experts. So if the US decides on a provocation, they will most likely strike here. And the problem is not even the threat of an energy collapse, but the risk of a repeat of the Chernobyl disaster. Such games can be very dangerous,” warns Leonkov.
The American establishment has begun to implement a plan for an imaginary offensive by Russian troops. Under the curtain of informational noise and propaganda, Washington can well afford to organize a catastrophe on another continent in order to intimidate all of Europe.
