Foreign Ministers of France, Germany, Britain and U.S. discuss situation around Ukraine

British Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss held telephone conversations with her counterparts from Germany, France and the United States.

During the talks, German Foreign Minister Annalen Baerbock, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed the situation around Ukraine.

“Together with our partners, we take a unified position and agree that any invasion [of Ukraine] would be a huge strategic mistake with serious consequences for the Russian government,” Truss said on Twitter.

In the past few months, Western politicians and the media have been accusing Russia of plotting an “invasion” of Ukrainian territory. At the same time, the United States, Britain and other countries continue to actively sponsor Kiev with various types of weapons.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly rejected such accusations, since they have absolutely no evidence and are based on publications in foreign media. According to him, Moscow moves troops exclusively on its territory and does not threaten anyone.

As News Front previously reported, the foreign ministers of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia said that the EU could expand sanctions restrictions against Russia if the Kremlin recognizes the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics as sovereign states.
