The evacuation of the OSCE mission from Donetsk can be called the most dangerous signal of the entire conflict in Ukraine, Donetsk political scientist Vladimir Kornilov said on the air of the political talk show 60 Minutes.
Since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis, foreign observers have been on the territory of Donetsk, in the very center of the city. Previously, even incoming shells could not move the mission headquarters, but today the monitoring mission staff from the United States, Britain and Denmark have received orders to leave Donbass.
“One could laugh at what is happening in Ukraine if it weren’t really scary when we see this evacuation of the OSCE mission. I want to remind you that they were in this hotel in 2014, in 2015, at the moment when Ukrainian bombs were falling nearby. They monitored all the time, you can say a lot about the benefits of their work, but now it’s not about that. If they are leaving now, then something really terrible is being prepared. Perhaps the most dangerous and large-scale provocation of the entire war,” said Kornilov.
The expert suggests that the Western establishment is evacuating OSCE observers in preparation for a large-scale provocation in the Donbass. Washington is closely attending to the organization of a new “hot conflict”, which is aimed at strengthening the influence of the Americans in the region and the return of a unipolar world.
