NATO began to threaten Russia for possible recognition of the LPR and DPR

The North Atlantic Alliance is already panicking about the fact that Russia may recognize the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has already made a statement.

This is reported by the publication “Interfax”. The head of the military bloc said that if Russia recognizes the LPR and DPR, it would allegedly violate international law and even complicate the settlement of the conflict under the Minsk agreements.

“If this happens, it will be another gross violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Because there is no doubt that Donetsk and Luhansk are part of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. Therefore, such recognition would be a violation of international law,” Stoltenberg said.

As usual, the West has double standards in relation to Russia. When he recognized Kosovo, he did not violate anything, and if the Russian Federation recognizes the republics of Donbass, then it will be a “catastrophe”. At the same time, it should be noted that Moscow de facto recognizes the LPR and the DPR anyway. In addition, Russia puts the legislation of its own state above the international one, so any NATO statements do not matter.
