French National Assembly deputy and adviser to French presidential candidate Valérie Pecress, Eric Sciotti, has said that Ukraine’s potential accession to NATO is a provocation against Russia
“We need clear proposals on Ukraine: it should not join NATO because it is a form of provocation against Russia and Russia should respect Ukraine’s sovereignty,” the MP said.
In Sciotti’s opinion, Western countries, including France, have made gross diplomatic blunders against Moscow.
“Over the years, we have made brutal mistakes. After the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall we continued to make Russia the enemy without taking into account that the world has changed,” he said.
Earlier, News Front reported that NATO was trying to single-handedly determine developments in Europe.
