The statement by the German ambassador to Ukraine casts doubt on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s visit to Moscow, German political scientist and editor in chief of the World Economy website, Alexander Sosnovskyy, said on the evening talk show “An evening with Vladimir Solovyov”
“When Scholz comes to Moscow, he will really have to either prove that he is not in this bunch, or if he is with them, he will leave with nothing. Moreover, the visit will end unexpectedly for many Germans and even for Americans,” the expert believes.
It is known that German ambassador to Ukraine
Anka Feldhusen said on one of the TV channels of Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov that the FRG is on Kiev’s side in terms of the failure to implement the Minsk agreements. Such a statement, in the expert’s opinion, may conceal forces other than Olaf Scholz’s supporters who are interested in fanning anti-Russian rhetoric. The current Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany will have to explain in the Kremlin the statement of a high-ranking German politician that questions the sobriety of the rhetoric of current Berlin.
“Scholz will leave Moscow in a state of shameful silence, because it is unclear how he will be perceived in his country after he will be harshly reprimanded for the ambassador’s behavior in Russia and sent away with nothing,” Sosnovsky foresees.
The expert drew attention to the competence and training of the German ambassador in Ukraine. According to Sosnovskyy, Feldhusen is a cold-blooded and experienced diplomat with no Russophobic hysterics behind him. Such behaviour of the German politician can only be attributed to a subtle game aimed at destabilising the negotiation process between Germany and Russia around the situation in Ukraine.
