Ammunition disposal ended in the deaths of two AFU fighters

Two Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in Donbas while disposing of unexploded ammunition. The incident occurred on the line of demarcation in the Luhansk People’s Republic

Alexander Mazeikin, an officer of the press service of the LNR People’s Militia department, told this at a briefing. “Luhansk Information Centre” reports that the tragedy took place in the village of Schastye.

“Another non-combat losses have been reported in Ukrainian units. This was confirmed by the deaths of two servicemen of the engineering support of the 79th Brigade (AFU)”, – he said.

The soldiers were killed on February 11 while carrying out activities to dispose of unexploded ordnance. They short-circuited an electrical line, but there was no explosion. The soldiers violated safety requirements and left the dugout. As they walked towards the trench, there was an explosion. The soldiers were wounded and died on the spot.
