Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, has decided to increase the number of fighters who are part of the territorial defense ranks.
This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov. The plans of the Kiev regime are grandiose: the number of these units should reach two million people.
“We must maximize the number of our military who will deal with issues of territorial defense, the number should reach two million citizens who will be ready to defend our country if necessary,” he said.
At the same time, earlier Yuri Galushkin, who commands the territorial defense forces of Ukraine, said that their number in peacetime should be about ten thousand people.
Since January of this year, a new law on the foundations of national resistance has been in force in Ukraine. It was created in order to maximize the involvement of civilians in ensuring the security of the country. The armed forces are clearly unable to cope with this on their own and are in dire need of assistance.
