Japan and New Zealand urge their citizens to leave Ukraine

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaiya Mahuta called on their citizens to leave Ukraine immediately due to the unpredictability of the situation.

“We called on Japanese citizens to leave Ukraine due to the unpredictability of the situation. We will act depending on how the situation develops in the future,” Kishida said.

Earlier it became known that the Japanese Foreign Ministry decided to raise the threat level of being on the territory of Ukraine to the maximum (fourth) level, which implies a call to “immediately leave the territory” of the state and refuse any trips to this country.

“Amid rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine, the New Zealand government is recommending that New Zealanders in Ukraine leave immediately. The situation could change at short notice and New Zealanders should not rely on evacuation under these circumstances,” the New Zealand Foreign Minister said.

Recently, Western politicians and the media have been accusing Russia of preparing an “invasion” of Ukraine. Russia’s ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, criticized the Western allegations, saying they were completely baseless and without any evidence.
