Artillery units of the Eastern Military District and the Armed Forces of Belarus conducted training maneuvers as part of the joint Russian-Belarusian exercises “Allied Resolve – 2022”.
“As part of the Allied Resolve-2022 exercise at the Osipovichsky training ground, artillerymen of the Eastern Military District and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, acting as part of consolidated divisions, launched fire strikes on the area occupied by a conditional illegal armed formation,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In the course of working out a tactical episode, the crews of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) marched to the designated areas, took up positions and fired a salvo at the area where the illegal armed formation was concentrated.
“Target reconnaissance, visual observation and fire control of the MLRS were carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry said.
The joint exercises of Russia and Belarus “Allied Resolve – 2022” are held from February 10 to 20. During the maneuvers, the military will work out the issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State.
