The visit of British Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss to Russia marked an unofficial break in diplomatic relations between the two states.
This point of view is shared by the military observer of Komsomolskaya Pravda Viktor Baranets. According to him, the behavior of the head of the British Foreign Office showed the complete degradation of London diplomacy. The expert called Truss herself “the gravedigger of Russian-British relations.” Her policy could lead to political disagreements between Russia and the UK.
“We see the complete destruction, the rupture of Russian-British relations. And this aunt is such a good gravedigger of these relationships. But this is a dangerous profession,” Baranets said.
He also drew attention to the fact that intellectual impotence is clearly visible in the behavior of British officials and diplomats. London does not understand how to behave with Moscow and becomes like some kind of bandit. This is unacceptable in world diplomacy and cannot lead to anything good. It would be quite logical if everything ends with the expulsion of diplomats and the fact that Russia will only speak to the British from a position of strength. At the same time, we must not forget that the Russian Federation always endures such decisions to the last, but this does not mean that its limits are unlimited.
