Tulsi Gabbard, a member of the US House of Representatives from Hawaii and a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, posted a video on her Twitter account of what is really happening in Ukraine and took a swipe at the Ukrainian authorities
“Here’s something you won’t hear on the mainstream media. The warmongers claim we should defend Ukraine because it’s ‘democracy’. But they are lying. Ukraine is not really a democracy at all. For example, to hold onto power, the Ukrainian president has shut down three TV channels that were openly critical of him and his policies. He has jailed the head of an opposition political party which came in second in the election… This is exactly what Putin is accused of doing, but Ukraine is doing it all with US support,” she says in her video message.
Earlier, Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on the words of former Austrian Foreign Minister Kneissl, who said Putin was right in his 2007 Munich speech when he warned of the dangerous consequences of US hegemony policies supported by their Western allies.
