Austrian politician Kneissl admits Putin’s Munich speech was right

Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl has admitted the correctness of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s words at the 2007 Munich Security Conference

Vladimir Putin’s address from the famous Munich speech marked its 15th anniversary on February 10. At that conference, the Russian leader for the first time condemned the aggressive rhetoric of the Western establishment, under the tutelage of the United States, and openly opposed the uncontrolled expansion of the Alliance.

The escalation of tensions between the collective West and Russia has reached a critical level, even against the backdrop of the negotiation process between Washington and Moscow. The reason for this outcome was the desire of the United States to infringe on the national interests of the USSR, and then the Russian Federation. Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl shared this opinion.

“When I watched this speech again a few days ago, I thought it made a lot of sense. You can sense right away how much is personal, how much is reflection. I would say that actually about everything President Putin said then, I have to say that, first of all, he was unfortunately right, and secondly, things have gotten even worse and more complicated since then”, –  Kneissl stressed.

The ultimatum from the Russian side on mutual security guarantees demonstrates the serious danger for Eastern Europe due to the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces on the border line. A provocation by Ukrainian security forces in Donbas would begin a military conflict, which Moscow has repeatedly warned about.

Earlier, News Front reported on the involvement of a Ukrainian student in the bombing of schools in Russia and Donbass.
