Bids to pump gas through the Yamal-Europe pipeline across Ukraine continue to decline
Bids for pumping gas through the Ukrainian gas transportation system are declining, there are no supplies through the Yamal-Europe pipeline from Russia, according to the data of the Ukrainian GTS Operator, the German Gascade and the auction platform GSA Platform.
The bids for pumping gas through the gas metering stations (GMS) Sudzha and Sohranovka from Russia as of February 8 were 84.7 million cubic meters, and 78.9 million cubic meters as of February 9. This is lower by almost 6.8%, according to data from the Ukrainian GTS Operator. Nominations for February 7 were 97.5 million cubic meters.
Data for the Uzhhorod corridor (which carries the bulk of Ukrainian gas transit from Russia) indicates that the volume of bids dropped by about 10%. Nominations for pumping through Velke Kapushany, the border crossing between Slovakia and Ukraine, were 56.8 million cubic meters per day on February 8 and dropped to 51.1 million cubic meters per day on February 9, according to data from Slovak GTS operator Eustream.
