Saakashvili made a circus in court: he wrapped himself in the Ukrainian flag and sang the anthem

Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili sang the Ukrainian national anthem at the end of his speech at a regular court session in Tbilisi. He also wore a T-shirt in the colours of the Ukrainian flag

The court session was noisy. During his speech the ex-president presented photos of houses which he said belonged to representatives of the incumbent authorities and employees of the prosecutor’s office. According to Saakashvili, this proves that unlike him the current government is stealing money from the state budget. Commenting on one of the photos he said that it was the house of prosecutor in the Jarj Tsiklauri case. This caused a verbal altercation between the parties. The prosecutor accused Saakashvili of spreading lies and called on the judge to take appropriate measures.

He ended his speech with the Ukrainian anthem playing in the courtroom. Saakashvili sang the anthem and held the national flag of Ukraine.

It is to be recalled that the former President was arrested in Georgia on October 1, and at home he is being prosecuted in several criminal cases.
