The Berlin authorities are extremely interested in the normal operation of Nord Stream-2, reports Ukraina.ru.
To all appearances, the only European countries concerned about the constant rise in prices in the gas market are the German government, which has taken a firm stand on the commissioning of the Russian Nord Stream-2 pipeline. Political scientist Alexander Sosnovsky shared his opinion on this matter.
“According to official data, the increase in gas prices for consumers over the past year is approximately 185%, and maybe even more. Prices are rising, and not only for gas, as this drags along the entire consumer basket. The industry is also beginning to suffer. Therefore, of course, stopping the Nord Stream is not in the plans of the German government”, the expert emphasizes.
A further increase in gas prices could lead to demonstrations in Berlin, which will put an end to the current government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The general discontent among the Germans demonstrates to the authorities of the country the need to change the political vector from pro-Western to pro-Russian.
Earlier, News Front spoke about Germany’s intention to strengthen the presence of a military contingent in Eastern Europe.
