According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, the turnover of trade between Russia and Ukraine increased by 22.8% in annual terms and amounted to 12.284 billion dollars.
“Russian deliveries to the independent sector increased by 28.8% last year and amounted to $8.13 billion, while Ukrainian deliveries to Russia increased by 12.5% to $4.155 billion,” the ministry’s website says.
The basis of Russian exports in January-December 2021 was traditionally fuel and energy products, the share of which in the commodity structure of exports amounted to 54.3% (in January-December 2020 – 49.7%). In the commodity structure of exports to non-CIS countries, the share of these goods amounted to 58.5% (in January-December 2020 – 53.9%), to the CIS countries – 26.4% (24.7%).
Experts note that despite a number of serious political disagreements and constant accusations of Russia of “aggression” and preparation of an “attack” on Ukrainian territory, Kiev continues to actively trade with Moscow. Russia successfully supplies Ukraine with fuel and fuels and lubricants, civilian vehicles of all kinds, live cattle and small cattle, meat and meat products, fish and fish products, dairy products, and vegetables.
The Russian Federation, in turn, imports metal-roll and metal products, machine tools and vehicles, chemical products, wood and pulp and paper products, food products and agricultural raw materials, textiles and footwear from Ukraine.
