German readers of Der Spiegel criticized American President Joe Biden because of his statement on Nord Stream 2 after negotiations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
US President Joe Biden, after meeting with the head of the German government, Olaf Scholz, allowed himself a strange kind of statement, during which he once again noted the consequences for Moscow from the “invasion” of Ukraine. In his warning, the American president threatened Nord Stream 2 with the end, which caused bewilderment among ordinary Germans.
“So the American president decides whether the pipeline between Germany and Russia can be put into operation or not. Apparently, the United States considers part of Europe its personal colony”, they write on the Web.
Readers of the publication are outraged by the ease with which American representatives dictate terms on parts of the territory and projects that do not belong to them. Netizens did not appreciate this kind of interference in the affairs of Germany, attacking Biden’s impudence with criticism.

By all appearances, the United States has resorted to a classic scheme of pressure on partners in key anti-Russian areas.
